Brenda is a mother of three, Mike, Lauren and Emma. She was born and raised in northern Ontario and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor, both with honours, from the University of Ottawa. After articling with the Regional Municipality of Ottawa‑Carleton, she returned to the north where she has started three businesses. She started a law firm in Marathon with satellite offices in Terrace Bay and Mantiouwadge which after 7 years was sold to Keith Jobbitt.
Brenda followed in her parents’ (Spence and Wendy Bell, who started CFNO) footsteps and started Q104FM radio station in Kenora, Dryden, Vermilion Bay and Sioux Lookout which she owned and operated for 8 years before selling. She also started her current practice with full time offices in Dryden, Atikokan, and Fort Frances. She employs Commissioners of Oaths in Dryden, Thunder Bay, Atikokan and Red Lake.
Brenda has been practicing real estate, wills, estates and corporate/ commercial law for over 25 years, and now does uncontested divorces as well. She has clients in the Kenora, Rainy River, Algoma and Thunder Bay Districts.
Brenda is active in the community, especially at the gym, ski hill, and running. She has also coached many kids, over the years, in baseball, soccer, and volleyball in Ontario and in Manitoba.
She is part of a great team, and looks forward to meeting new people, new clients as well as continually assisting her existing clients and friends with their legal needs.
